Acer Palmatum Group: Dwarf - Green

 

The green equivalent of Beni Hime being similar in leaf shape and size and in growth rate. New foliage is yellow-green, with bronzed edges and tips, before turning dark green. The yellow-bronze new growth overlying the dark green older foliage continues throughout the growing season. Fall colour is yellow top orange. The small five lobed leaves are divided fairly deeply toward the leaf bases. each leaf is broadly ovate, irregular with a triangular or bluntly pointed tip, and with toothed margins. The centre lobe is often shortened and occasionally absent. Forms a dense, compact, slow growing bush.
