Acer Palmatum Group: Matsumurae - Red

Grows ribbonlike lobes and burgundy wine coloured foliage. The medium to large leaves are deeply divided with the seven lobes separated virtually to the leaf base. Spring and early summer colour is the typical burgundy red. Leaves turn bronzy or greenish as the season progresses.

The leaves can burn in full sun.
