Acer Palmatum Group: Dwarf - Red
Has deeply cut lobes. The leaves emerge a bright pink-red, becoming deep red on the upper surface, which lasts well into late summer, while the
undersurface is a contrasting bronze-green. the foliage turns fiery scarlet in the fall. The medium sized, deeply cut five to seven lobed leaves have widely spreading lobes. The broadly
spreading lobes are widest about the middle, with long, pointed tips and are very deeply divided. The small basal lobes are angled backward and outward. The short ,slender, stiff leaf stalk is
pink. The shoots and bark are dark red.
